Minister of Education and Training not to avail pay and allowances for the period she served as minister

Islamabad, June 05, 2013 (PPI-OT): A spokesman of the Ministry of Education and Training today said that Dr. Sania Nishtar has declined to avail any pay and allowances for the period she served as Federal Minister for Education and Training, S and T and IT. She has informed the Cabinet Division in this regard accordingly.

Furthermore, the spokesman said, she has also declined to accept 5 arms licenses (1 PB and 4 NBP) which were to be awarded to her in the capacity of the Federal Minister, citing no specific need to accept such an offer. She, however, thanked the Ministry for their consideration in this regard. She also thanked the Ministry of Interior for offering to retain the police guard which, she also declined, stating that she would not like to tax the already over stretched police force.
