Minister Urges NHA to Prioritize Road Safety with Enhanced Engineering

Islamabad:Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has instructed the National Highway Authority (NHA) to focus on road safety by enhancing engineering standards in the construction of new highways.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a meeting in Islamabad, the Minister noted that the NHA has met its revenue enhancement targets set two years prior. This achievement has allowed the authority to initiate new road projects using revenue from existing sources.

The Minister emphasized the importance of engaging foreign experts to improve road engineering and highway design. He stressed that NHA’s engineering staff should implement international best practices to develop motorways that offer increased safety and comfort for motorists.

The meeting also reviewed the progress of various ongoing projects.
