Minister visits Fatima Church in Islamabad

Islamabad, April 29, 2013 (PPI-OT): “There is a strong need for inter-faith and inter-cultural dialogue amongst various religious communities of Pakistan in order to promote religious cooperation, tolerance and peace in the society”,

Shahzada Jamal Nazir, Federal Minister for Ministry of National Harmony said this while visiting F-8 Fatima Church here in Islamabad. Father Rehmat and other representatives of the Church greeted the Minister.

During the course of conversation, Mr. Shahzada Jamal Nazir assured Father Rehmat of his ministry’s full cooperation and commitment in resolving issues being faced by Christian community. The Minister also stressed upon continuation of serious inter-religious dialogue and noted that practical steps in this regard were necessary to ensure mutual respect, peace, harmony and stability amongst followers of different religions.
