Srinagar, March 03, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, strongly denouncing the death of a Kashmiri student, Mudassir Kamran, in a university of Hyderabad Deccan, has said that it was the responsibility of the Indian government to provide protection to the Kashmiri students studying in universities of different Indian states.Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the recent death of the Kashmiri student had exposed the policy of Indian rulers regarding occupied Kashmir and its people.
He said that it was not the only incident but many Kashmiri students and businessmen had been killed and harassed in different states and cities of India. He warned the Indian government to ensure safety and protection to Kashmiri people staying in the country.
The APHC Chairman expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and urged the human rights organisations, civil society and intellectuals of India to take notice of the inhuman and undemocratic incidents and ask India to arrest and give exemplary punishment to the people involved in such heinous crimes.
It is to mention here that Mudasir Kamran, a resident of Parigam area of Pulwama, who was pursuing Ph.D in English at English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, was found hanging from the ceiling of his hostel room last night.
