Modi Government Suspends 23 Government Employees in Jammu and Kashmir Crackdown

Jammu: The Indian government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has intensified its crackdown in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), resulting in the suspension of 23 government employees and the disengagement of six contractual workers, amid growing concerns over authoritarian measures.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the actions taken by the authorities also included the transfer of twenty employees to remote areas, a strategy critics believe could lead to their eventual termination under the guise of absenteeism or irregular attendance. This series of punitive measures is viewed as a concerted effort to mute dissent and restrict the democratic rights of the Kashmiri population.

These latest developments have heightened tensions in the region, with opponents of the Modi regime asserting that such tactics are part of a larger strategy to subdue the Kashmiri people, who continue to be deprived of their right to self-determination and are forced to live under persistent fear and suppression.
