Mohsin Naqvi Launches ‘SHIKRA’ Passport Monitoring System

Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has inaugurated the state-of-the-art monitoring system ‘SHIKRA’ for passport applications, printing, and overall performance. He inaugurated the system during his visit to the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports in Islamabad on Monday.

According to Radio Pakistan, a round-the-clock Monitoring Room and Call Center have also been made operational at the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports. On the directives of the Interior Minister, the Emergency Travel Document system has been digitalized as well.

The new system will ensure real-time monitoring of passport applications and deliveries, both within Pakistan and abroad. From the submission of an application to final delivery, every stage will be monitored.

Mohsin Naqvi stated that the government is committed to ensure the provision of fast and secure services of international standard to citizens.
