MOIB Uncovers Misleading Video Linked to Afghan Taliban

Bangladesh:The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has revealed that an Afghan Taliban regime-linked X account circulated a fake video, claiming it depicted a strike in South Waziristan against Pakistani forces.

According to Radio Pakistan, the video in question actually originates from Kurdistan, Iraq, and was falsely presented as footage from South Waziristan, Pakistan.

The Ministry communicated this on its X handle, stating that the same video had previously been distributed by an Indian RAW-related propaganda X account. This highlights a direct connection between the Afghan Taliban regime and Indian fake propaganda efforts. Once online users exposed the video’s misattribution, the Taliban-affiliated X account quietly deleted the misleading post.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting emphasized that this incident illustrates how hostile propaganda networks coordinate to repurpose unrelated foreign footage, fabricating narratives about events along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The Information Ministry reiterated that truth always prevails over falsehood.
