Islamabad: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has urged intending pilgrims for Hajj 2027 to obtain or renew their passports in advance.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Ministry’s spokesperson, Muhammad Umar Butt, stated that the Ministry had requested the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports to provide necessary facilitation for this matter. Following this request, directions were issued to passport offices across the country to assist intending Hajj pilgrims.
Under the new arrangement, intending pilgrims for Hajj 2027 will be permitted to renew their passports earlier than the usual eligibility period. Muhammad Umar Butt highlighted that applicants must have a Pakistani passport valid until 16 November 2027 before moving forward with the Hajj application process.
He further emphasized that applications for Hajj 2027 will not be accepted without a valid Pakistani passport.
