Muharram Security Plan Reviewed by Federal Interior Minister and State Minister

Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State Talal Chaudhry visited the Central Imambargah Asna Ashari in G-6 to assess the security and other arrangements for Muharram.

According to Press Information Department, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with the administrators of the Imambargah, who expressed satisfaction with the current arrangements. Naqvi confirmed that a comprehensive security plan is in place to monitor miscreants closely, with enhanced surveillance measures. He emphasized that security levels have been heightened to counter any potential threats from hostile entities.

Naqvi further announced that approval has been granted for the Army’s deployment in Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and all provinces upon request. The Army will be available to assist civil administration efforts in these areas.

During the visit, DIG Islamabad Police provided a briefing to Interior Minister Naqvi on the security setup. Federal Secretary for Interior Khurram Agha and SSP Shoaib were also present to discuss the security protocols and measures being implemented.
