Municipal Workers Rally in Rawalpindi to Honor Defence and Martyrs Day

Rawalpindi: Municipal Corporation employees marked Defence and Martyrs Day with a rally expressing solidarity with the armed forces. Participants, holding banners and chanting supportive slogans, gathered to celebrate the contributions and sacrifices of military personnel.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the rally featured slogans like “Long Live Pakistan” and “Long Live Pakistan Army,” emphasizing national pride and support for the troops. Concurrently, a commemorative ceremony at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Rawalpindi Garrison included tributes to fallen soldiers. The event was well-attended by armed forces officers, soldiers, families of the martyrs, members of the civil administration, and local dignitaries. Prayers were offered for the martyrs, and attendees reflected on the military’s victories against terrorism, viewing these successes as a national pride point.
