Muqam Directs NHA to Enhance Karakoram Highway Infrastructure

Gilgit: Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Amir Muqam has instructed the National Highway Authority (NHA) to advance the road infrastructure from Nasirabad Bridge to Sost on the Karakoram Highway. This directive was given during a meeting chaired by the Minister in Gilgit.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister Muqam emphasized that enhanced roads are pivotal for fostering economic growth in the region. The improvements are expected to facilitate smoother transportation and potentially boost trade and tourism along this crucial route.

Following the meeting, the Minister engaged in discussions with the President of the Ismaili Regional Council in Gilgit. The discussions focused on the logistical arrangements for the upcoming visit of Prince Rahim Aga Khan to Gilgit-Baltistan, highlighting the significance of the event for the local community.
