Musadik Malik Urges Urgent Global Action on Climate Change

Nairobi: Minister for Climate Change Dr Musadik Malik has called for urgent and collective global action to address the accelerating impacts of climate change. Addressing the Seventh Session of the United Nations Environment Assembly in Nairobi today, he underscored the growing urgency of climate action, warning that environmental degradation would have irreversible consequences if left unaddressed.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dr Musadik Malik highlighted Pakistan’s vulnerability to climate change and drew attention to the disproportionate impacts faced by climate-affected developing countries, including recurring floods, heatwaves, and water stress.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s position, Dr Musadik Malik stated that the country remained committed to working with the international community to advance practical climate solutions and strengthen multilateral environmental governance frameworks.
