Mushahid Commends Russia’s Role in Easing Pak-India Tensions

Moscow: Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow today on the sidelines of the Eurasian Forum. During the meeting, Senator Mushahid expressed gratitude to Russia for maintaining a positive and neutral stance during the recent tensions between Pakistan and India.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Russian Foreign Minister emphasized that the core focus of Russia’s foreign policy is to promote peace, security, and stability within the region. This underscores Russia’s commitment to fostering a calm and secure environment in the area.

Later, while speaking to the Russian media, Senator Mushahid Hussain praised the collaborative efforts of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping in building a peaceful and prosperous Eurasia. He highlighted that Pakistan is poised to play a significant role as an equal partner in this initiative.
