New Delhi: The Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, a major Muslim organization in India, has called for the immediate arrest of Yati Narsinghanand, a temple head priest, asserting that his derogatory comments about Prophet Muhammad are intolerable and have incited significant distress within the Muslim community.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Maulana Arshad Madani, president of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, stated that Narsinghanand’s remarks were “unspeakable and unbearable” and have offended Muslims globally. Madani underscored the gravity of the comments, labeling them a threat to the national unity of India and urging for immediate and stringent legal measures against Narsinghanand.
The organization emphasized that simply filing a police report is not adequate response and insisted on Narsinghanand’s arrest under serious charges to ensure justice and prevent any further communal unrest.
