NA Speaker Offers to Facilitate Dialogue Between Government and Opposition

Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has once again expressed his readiness to facilitate dialogue between the government and the opposition. Responding to the remarks of Mahmood Khan Achakzai in the National Assembly today, the Speaker emphasized that his offer should be accepted, highlighting that the only way forward is by sitting together. He also recalled that the Prime Minister has repeatedly invited the opposition for dialogue.

According to Radio Pakistan, the House is continuing discussion on the 27th Constitutional Amendment. At the outset, the Chair strongly condemned the terrorist acts in Islamabad and Wana. He praised the resolve of state institutions in the war against terrorism.

Later, the House offered fateha for those who embraced martyrdom in the acts of terrorism.
