Islamabad: In a significant step towards securing Pakistan’s cyber infrastructure, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and the National Cyber Emergency Response Team of Pakistan (PKCERT) have entered into strategic cooperation. The partnership, formalized through the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoU), aims to enhance the exchange of cyber security threat intelligence and data to improve their security measures.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the MoUs were signed today in Islamabad. This collaboration marks a pivotal move to bolster the cybersecurity framework of the country. As part of the agreement, NADRA and PKCERT will engage in joint investigations and analyses of cybersecurity incidents, which is expected to fortify their response to cyber threats.
Additionally, the two entities will share best practices and methodologies to manage cybersecurity effectively. They are also set to collaborate on research and development projects that focus on advancing cybersecurity technologies and strategies. This initiative not only aims to protect national data but also to set a benchmark for cybersecurity efforts across national departments and agencies.
