Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has vowed that terrorist elements will not be allowed to promote their narrative or ideology. Addressing the Qaumi Paigham-e-Aman Committee conference in Islamabad today, he said that the entire nation is united in its resolve to completely eradicate the menace of terrorism.
According to Radio Pakistan, he emphasized that terrorism would be confronted through both kinetic and non-kinetic means. Commending the role of religious scholars in safeguarding the country’s ideological frontiers and maintenance of peace, the Information Minister stated that the Qaumi Paigham-e-Aman Committee would visit different parts of the country to spread Islam’s message of peace. He said terrorists have nothing to do with Islam, Pakistan, or humanity.
He added that the Paigham-e-Aman Committee is an overarching body in which minorities are also represented. He emphasized that it is our responsibility to safeguard the rights of minorities. He further noted that this fully empowered committee will play an effective role in countering the narrative of terrorists.
