National Assembly Speaker emphasizes need for tolerance to make democracy function

Islamabad, April 23, 2014 (PPI-OT): While welcoming the participants of National Management Course, Lahore Honourable Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the need for tolerance to make democracy function.

The real change is the respect for all constitutional organs by each other he further said Elaborating the results of last general election Mr. Ayaz Sadiq said it is the beauty of democracy that we have different political parties power in center and province.

The current parliament made history when it took power from another elected parliament in 2013. While emphasizing the need for positive interaction between the politician and bureaucracy he said it is job of the politicians to give vision and it is bureaucracy that implement the vision of the government.

He also apprised the audience of various steps taken by National Assembly to reduce the expense of wastage in National Assembly including energy audit, solar power for National Assembly automation and some security related programme are some of them. The Honourable Speaker also took questions from the participants regarding working of Parliament and other issue of national interest.
