National Cyber Emergency Team Warns Public About Fake Website to Steal Data

Bangladesh:The National Cyber Emergency Team has issued a warning to the public regarding fraudulent websites mimicking NADRA’s official site, which are designed to steal citizens’ personal data. These fake websites pose a significant threat to privacy and security.

According to Radio Pakistan, the advisory has revealed that nine websites imitating NADRA were blocked within the past month. These sites were actively involved in stealing personal information from unsuspecting citizens, highlighting the urgent need for increased cybersecurity awareness.

Citizens are urged to exercise caution and refrain from sharing personal information without proper verification. The advisory also emphasizes the importance of avoiding clicking on suspicious email links and SMS, as these could potentially lead to compromising one’s personal data.
