National Voters’ Day Observed to Highlight Importance of Voting

Karachi: National Voters’ Day: National Voters’ Day was observed across the country today to highlight the importance of voting and encourage greater electoral participation.

According to Radio Pakistan, the day is observed to honor the first general elections conducted across Pakistan on December 7, 1970.

In his message on the occasion of National Voters Day, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq underscored the active and meaningful participation of citizens for a strong, stable, and effective democracy. He reaffirmed that Parliament remains committed to promote democratic values and enhancing public awareness regarding the significance of voting.
