Nationwide Anti-Rubella/Measles Vaccination Drive Begins Across the Country

Nationwide: A nationwide campaign to vaccinate children against rubella and measles diseases started in the country on Monday. According to National Emergency Operations Center, over 34 million children from age six months to five years will be vaccinated during the campaign against measles and rubella.

Meanwhile, a week-long polio vaccination campaign has also been launched from on Monday in 90 high-risk districts across the country, during which over 23 million children will be administered anti-polio drops.

Throughout the campaign, the vaccination teams will go door to door to administer the vaccines while vaccination facilities will also be available at government health facilities, schools, madrassas, and temporary vaccination centers. The NEOC has urged the parents to ensure their children’s vaccination to protect them from these highly contagious diseases.
