NDMA Issues Advisory to Restrict Tourist Activities in Mountainous Areas

Islamabad: On the instructions of the Prime Minister, the NDMA has issued an advisory to restrict tourist activities in mountainous areas of the country due to intense Monsoon activity. The NDMA has directed the relevant institutions to impose tourism restrictions in disaster-affected areas and take immediate steps in this regard.

According to Radio Pakistan, the NDMA has directed for restricting public movement in risky areas during the monsoon spells. Restrictions under section 144 can be imposed if deemed necessary. The NDMA has also directed law enforcement agencies to ensure the implementation of these restrictions and has requested the public to avoid traveling to the affected areas.
