NDMA’s NEOC Issues Rain Alert for South Punjab

Lahore: The National Emergency Operations Center of NDMA has issued an alert for thunderstorms and strong winds accompanied by rainfall in South Punjab.

According to Radio Pakistan, heavy rainfall is expected in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Ahmedpur, Liaquatpur, Zahir Pir, Rajanpur, Khanpur, Muzaffargarh, D.G. Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, and Sadiqabad. Rain and stormy winds are likely to continue intermittently over the next 24 to 48 hours.

The NDMA has advised the public to avoid unnecessary travel during rain, stay away from trees and weak structures, and follow the instructions of local authorities.
