New E-Procurement System Set to Launch in June: PPRA MD Announces Nationwide Rollout

Islamabad: Managing Director of Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Hasnat Ahmed Qureshi has announced the upcoming launch of a new version of the e-Procurement system this June, aiming to enhance transparency in public procurement processes.

According to Radio Pakistan, Hasnat Ahmed Qureshi addressed a news conference in Islamabad, revealing that the e-Procurement system will also be implemented in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. He stated that the latest version will be provided to the provinces by March this year.

Qureshi highlighted that the new e-Procurement platform is designed to facilitate all procurement processes electronically, from bidding and evaluation to complaint resolution. He emphasized the susceptibility of manual procurement systems to issues such as corruption and leakages, underscoring the introduction of the e-Procurement system as a measure to address these challenges and ensure greater transparency.
