Islamabad: Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has mandated that upcoming highways incorporate modern lighting, quality infrastructure, and well-developed rest areas. He issued these directives while leading a meeting focused on the development projects within the National Highway Authority’s Central Region.
According to Radio Pakistan, the minister emphasized that the Islamabad-Murree Expressway should be considered a benchmark for infrastructure development. He urged the relevant authorities to ensure the timely completion of the six-lane expansion on the M-4 by the end of the year.
The meeting also highlighted ongoing progress on the Lodhran-Multan Expressway. Additionally, Minister Khan noted that the rehabilitation project for the Baba Farid Bridge over the Sutlej River is slated to commence soon.
