Newly Elected Gilgit-Baltistan Government Unveils Interim Budget

Islamabad: The newly elected government of Gilgit-Baltistan has presented an interim budget of 20.4783 billion rupees for the first quarter of the 2026-27 fiscal year in the Assembly. This budget was introduced by Member of the Legislative Assembly Muhammad Ali Akhtar during a session overseen by Speaker Imran Nadeem.

According to Radio Pakistan, the session also included a significant ceremony where the Speaker administered the oath to the newly elected assembly members, Muhammad Dilpazir and Muhammad Naseem. The presentation of the interim budget marks a crucial step for the new government as it sets the financial tone for the upcoming fiscal year.
