Karachi: Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited (NICL) has officially completed the acquisition of the soap manufacturing facility in Hub, Balochistan from Procter and Gamble Pakistan, as confirmed on September 1, 2024. This strategic move is set to expand NICL’s production capabilities and enhance its export potential through nearby seaports.
The acquisition process, which has been in the public eye through multiple notifications to the Pakistan Stock Exchange earlier this year, marks a significant step in NICL’s strategy to bolster its presence in the southern region of Pakistan. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the transfer and operational control of the Hub Plant were effected seamlessly and as scheduled.
This acquisition is expected to increase NICL’s production capacity and leverage its geographic advantage for expanding export operations, ultimately contributing to the company’s growth trajectory and shareholder value. The company has expressed its confidence that this new asset will play a crucial role in its long-term growth and market expansion strategy.
NICL has also complied with regulatory requirements, including the disclosure form mandated under SRO 143(1)2012, aligning with Sections 96 and 131 of the Securities Act 2015, further demonstrating its commitment to transparency and good governance.
