Non-Local Found Dead in Srinagar, Another Injured in Tral Shooting

Srinagar: A non-local resident was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Srinagar, while another non-local laborer was shot and injured in a separate incident in Tral, Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), officials reported on Thursday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the body of the deceased, identified as Zakir, a resident of West Bengal, was discovered in the Gangbugh area on the outskirts of Srinagar. The cause of death is currently under investigation, Indian authorities confirmed.

In a separate incident, a non-local laborer was shot and injured by unidentified assailants in the Batagund area of Tral, in South Kashmir. A senior Indian police official stated that the incident is being investigated, and security forces have launched a search operation to locate the attackers.
