Norinco Vice President Meets Secretary Defence Production

Rawalpindi, March 22, 2013 (PPI-OT): Vice President, China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO), Mr Wang Li met Secretary Defence Production, Lt. General (Retd) Shahid Iqbal at the Ministry of Defence Production today.

During the meeting, latest position on projects with NORINCO, test and trials of equipment, joint marketing and sales ventures along with other important issues related to defence production were discussed. Future collaborative efforts also came under discussion. The meeting was significant in defining the future path of cooperation, research and development.

NORINCO, it may be mentioned here is an enterprise group engaged with both products and operations in China. It has been ranked amongst the fore front of China’s 500 largest state-owned enterprises in terms of total assets and revenue. Pakistan is engaged with NORINCO in the field of defence production. China and Pakistan have deep and trusted relations and enjoy deep rooted strategic ties.
