OGDCL and IBA Karachi Collaborate to Launch Leadership Academy

Karachi: In a bid to cultivate future-ready leaders for Pakistan’s energy sector, the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) and the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi have launched the OGDCL x IBA Leadership Academy. This national initiative is designed to address the evolving challenges within the energy sector and beyond.

The strategic collaboration includes several key components aimed at leadership development. These components are leadership programs, applied research, a Transformation Office, and an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Desk specifically tailored for the energy sector.

The agreement formalizing this partnership was signed by Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak, the Managing Director and CEO of OGDCL, and Dr. S. Akbar Zaidi, the Executive Director of IBA Karachi. This collaboration underscores a mutual commitment to investing in human capital and fostering innovation within the energy ecosystem.

The initiative reflects a concerted effort to enhance systems across the industry, with a focus on equipping leaders with the necessary skills to navigate the complexities of the sector.
