ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has launched a new suite of Geological and Geophysical (G and G) acquisition systems, marking a significant stride in the company’s pursuit of innovation and operational excellence.
The latest technology upgrades include a seismic system from M/s Sercel, France, which offers autonomous recording and enhanced quality control. This system boasts a capacity of over 200,000 channels, allowing for high-resolution data capture, particularly in complex environments.
In addition to the seismic system, OGDCL has introduced advanced Mud Logging Units from M/s CTEC, China. These units employ artificial intelligence for anomaly detection, offer reliable gas monitoring, and enable real-time data transfer, all of which contribute to improved drilling accuracy.
Furthermore, new Wireline units from M/s Baker Hughes, USA, have been added to OGDCL’s toolkit. These units are equipped with advanced logging tools for both open and cased hole operations, ensuring high-quality and reliable data collection.
These technological advancements are expected to significantly enhance OGDCL’s exploration capabilities. They also reinforce the company’s leadership position in the use of state-of-the-art technologies for efficient hydrocarbon discovery.
