OIC and MWL Leaders Commend Pakistan’s Initiative on Girls’ Education

Islamabad: The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hissein Brahim Taha, and the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, have praised Pakistan for its role in hosting the International Conference on Girls’ Education in Muslim Communities. The conference brought together over 150 representatives from 44 Muslim and friendly countries, aiming to address vital issues related to education and empowerment.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, both dignitaries emphasized the importance of the conference, expressing their belief that it would catalyze collective efforts to enhance the quality of education and promote women’s empowerment across the Muslim world.

The event in Islamabad served as a platform for stakeholders to share insights and formulate strategies to tackle challenges in girls’ education. The participation of a diverse group of representatives highlighted the global interest and commitment to advancing educational opportunities for girls in Muslim communities.
