OIC Secretary-General Expresses Support for Pakistan Following Flash Floods

Islamabad: The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H. E. Hissein Brahim Taha, expressed compassion and solidarity with the Government and the people of Pakistan following the heavy rains and flash floods that resulted in numerous deaths, displacements, and destruction of homes.

According to Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Secretary-General emphasized the organization’s support for the families of the victims and acknowledged the resilience shown by the affected communities. He commended the emergency assistance and protection efforts carried out by the Pakistani authorities to assist those impacted by the disaster.

Furthermore, the Secretary-General urged all OIC Member States, institutions, and partners to extend any possible humanitarian aid to the populations affected by the floods in Pakistan.
