One Rangers Personnel Martyred in Attack by Banned Joint Action Committee

Islamabad: In Rawalakot, armed groups of the banned Joint Action Committee attacked security forces on Tuesday morning, resulting in the martyrdom of one Rangers personnel.

According to Radio Pakistan, the armed groups of the banned Joint Action Committee opened fire on a civilian area near a bus terminal in Rawalakot.

Following the attack, the armed groups used sophisticated weapons to directly target police personnel advancing to restore law and order, as well as Rangers personnel who had arrived to assist. One Rangers personnel embraced martyrdom after being struck by direct fire from the armed groups.
