Over 1.75 Million Registrations Completed Under PM’s Fuel Relief Scheme

Islamabad: Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja has announced that over 1.75 million registrations have been completed under the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme. She shared this information during a media briefing held in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Shaza Fatima Khawaja reported that approximately 1.5 million tokens have been generated as part of the scheme. The Minister further revealed that out of these tokens, 680,000 have already been redeemed at petrol stations nationwide.

Shaza Fatima Khawaja highlighted the establishment of a 24-hour control room at the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication. This facility is dedicated to receiving and addressing complaints from beneficiaries facing issues at petrol stations or during the registration process. People encountering problems can lodge complaints by calling 9771.

The Minister reiterated that the registration and complaint process has been designed to work through ordinary SMS. This approach ensures that individuals without smartphones or internet access can also participate in and benefit from the fuel relief initiative.
