Pak Army Intensifies Rescue Operations Amid Heavy Snowfall in Northern Regions

Islamabad: Pakistan Army is continuing rescue and relief activities as snowfall hits upper parts of the country including Murree, Swat, Kalam, Mohmand, Tirah Valley, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. The roads blocked due to snowfall are being cleared and smooth flow of traffic is being ensured. People and vehicles stuck in snow have been rescued and shifted to safe places. Food, shelter and warm clothes are also being provided to the affected people.

According to Radio Pakistan, separate arrangements have been made for special care of children, women, elderly and the disabled. Pak Army rescue teams are present in the affected areas for immediate crisis assessment, situation monitoring and meeting the emergencies. The people have thanked and appreciated Pak Army for the swift rescue and relief.
