Islamabad: The Pak-China Business-to-Business Investment Conference on Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare has concluded in Islamabad with the finalization of commercial partnerships worth $850 million.
According to Radio Pakistan, the conference saw the signing of 16 commercial agreements valued at $600 million, which were formally signed and sealed. These agreements establish immediate timelines for advancements in biotechnology. Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmed, emphasized that these partnerships are legally binding operational commitments, rather than mere declarations of intent.
Dr. Ahmed highlighted that Pakistan and China are expanding their collaboration beyond infrastructure projects like bridges, roads, and power grids. The focus is now on achieving healthcare autonomy, protecting millions of lives, and creating a high-tech support corridor to the global market.
