Pak Envoy, UN Assistant SG Discuss Afghan, ME Issues

New York: Pakistan’s Alternate Permanent Representative to the U.N., Asim Iftikhar, met with United Nations Assistant Secretary-General Khaled Khiari in New York. They exchanged views on a number of important issues on the Council’s agenda, including the Middle East and Afghanistan, and the UN’s role therein.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions centered around the ongoing situations in Afghanistan and the Middle East, with both parties emphasizing the importance of the UN’s involvement in addressing these challenges. The meeting underscored the need for continued dialogue and cooperation within the international community to navigate the complex issues faced by these regions.
