Pak-Japan Ties Rooted in Peace and Development Cooperation: Hameed

Tokyo: Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Japan, Abdul Hameed, emphasized the longstanding roots of Pakistan-Japan relations in peace, development cooperation, and a shared commitment to prosperity. He made these remarks while addressing the inaugural meeting of the Japan Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship League at the invitation of Member House of Representatives and Chairman of the League, Seiji Maehara.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the revival of the Japan Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship League. He highlighted the strengthening of bilateral relations through parliamentary diplomacy and six institutional mechanisms that facilitate collaboration in multiple areas.

Seiji Maehara appreciated the upward trajectory of Pakistan-Japan cooperation, specifically mentioning his participation in Pakistan’s National Day event at the upcoming Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025.
