Pak-Russia Joint Military Consultative Committee Convenes in Rawalpindi

Islamabad: The 5th Pak-Russia Joint Military Consultative Committee (JMCC) meeting took place at the Ministry of Defence in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, from October 28 to 31, 2024. The discussions were led by Secretary Defence, Lt Gen Muhammad Ali (Retd) on the Pakistani side, and Colonel General Alexander V. Fomin, Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, on the Russian side. The meeting focused on a wide range of issues pertinent to bilateral defense cooperation.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting covered matters of mutual interest, including strategic and defense collaboration between the two nations. Both delegations expressed satisfaction with the progress in various areas of common interest. Additionally, discussions were held regarding training programs and the exchange of visits. The talks were described as cordial, with both sides committing to work together to enhance cooperation in defense and security-related fields.
