Pak-Saudi Parliamentary Group Vows to Boost Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation

Islamabad: Pak-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Group has reiterated its commitment to further promote bilateral cooperation, facilitate inter-parliamentary exchanges, and strengthen mutual understanding between the peoples of the two brotherly countries.

According to Radio Pakistan, this commitment was expressed during a meeting of the Group chaired by Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony and Convener of the Group Sardar Muhammad Yousaf at the Parliament House, Islamabad. Members of the Group highlighted the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation, emphasizing the role of the Group as a vital channel to enhance people-to-people linkages and promote parliamentary and institutional exchanges.

In his remarks, the Minister welcomed the visiting Saudi Parliamentary delegation and reaffirmed that the people of Pakistan hold Saudi Arabia in high esteem. He described Saudi Vision 2030 as a model for modernization and reform, which harmonizes faith, tradition, and innovation.

Chairing the meeting from the Saudi side, Eng. Khaled Abdullah Al Buraik called for regular parliamentary exchanges to promote institutional linkages and expand bilateral cooperation. He reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Pakistan in the fields of defence, regional stability, trade, investment, technology, renewable energy, and parliamentary exchanges.
