Islamabad: Pakistan is achieving a prominent position in the agricultural sector with sustainable initiatives for modern agriculture and rehabilitation of barren lands.
According to Radio Pakistan, the first agricultural research laboratory has been established with the collaboration of China to promote modern agriculture in barren areas. Its objective is to make Pakistan’s vast barren and desert lands cultivable through modern technology.
Tarim University of China and Nawaz Sharif Agriculture University Multan will work on the use of modern technology, research, and training of farmers. Under the project, solar-powered greenhouses, drone-based crop monitoring, and an advanced drip irrigation system will be introduced.
