Pakistan Advances Gender Equality Initiatives in National Task Force Meeting

Islamabad: The Ministry of Human Rights hosted the second meeting of the Sub-Committee under the National Task Force, focusing on enhancing Pakistan’s position in the Global Gender Gap Index (GGGI). Led by Barrister Aqeel Malik, MNA, the committee deliberated on various strategies aimed at improving women’s rights, gender-based violence prevention, and female representation across educational, political, economic, and health sectors.

According to Ministry of Human Rights, insights from the National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) highlighted Pakistan’s current performance and areas for improvement on critical gender indicators. The meeting underscored the importance of reinforcing women-focused commissions and departments at both the federal and provincial levels to drive these initiatives forward effectively.
