Pakistan Advocates Two-State Solution of Palestinian Conflict

New York: At the UN Security Council, Pakistan has called on the international community to help the Palestinians develop a concrete plan for Gaza’s reconstruction. Speaking in a debate on the situation in the Middle East, permanent representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, Ambassador Munir Akram voiced Pakistan’s hope that all stages of the ceasefire agreement will be fully implemented and that the ceasefire will become permanent. He also called for reviving the two-State solution leading to the establishment of a Palestinian State.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Pakistani envoy emphasized that the two-State solution remains the most promising, equitable, and feasible framework for durable peace between Israel, the Palestinians, and the Arab and Muslim world.
