Pakistan Aims to Boost Trade with Saudi Arabia, Minister Asserts Commitment to Strengthen Economic Ties

Islamabad: Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal discussed enhancing Pakistan’s trade relations with Saudi Arabia during a meeting with Saudi Investment Minister Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al Falih. The discussion focused on aligning the bilateral ties with contemporary economic realities and expanding trade which stood at 4.6 billion dollars in 2022.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Iqbal emphasized the uniqueness of Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations and their historical resilience. He expressed a commitment to further strengthen these ties through robust economic cooperation. The meeting underscored the potential for growth in trade and agriculture productivity, which are seen as pivotal for future economic engagements.

Both ministers also explored various sectors where bilateral trade could be expanded, highlighting the importance of economic collaboration in strengthening political relationships. The initiative aims to work closely with the current Saudi leadership to enhance agricultural productivity and overall trade figures.
