Pakistan and Bahrain Discuss Maritime Security and Defence Cooperation

Islamabad: Chief of Staff Bahrain Defence Force Lt General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi met with Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf in Islamabad today. During the meeting, they exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, focusing particularly on regional maritime security and the potential for deepening cooperation in defence, training, and joint maritime security operations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Admiral Naveed Ashraf emphasized the Pakistan Navy’s efforts to promote maritime stability through initiatives like the Regional Maritime Security Patrols. Lt General Al Nuaimi praised the professional capabilities and steadfast commitment of the Pakistan Navy in ensuring collaborative maritime security in the region.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening and diversifying the existing bilateral defence relationship. The visit is expected to further deepen bilateral defence ties and enhance collaboration in regional security initiatives.
