Pakistan and Belarus Set to Boost Cooperation in Key Sectors

Islamabad: Pakistan and Belarus have reached a significant understanding to enhance bilateral cooperation in several priority sectors, including trade, industry, agriculture, IT, and vocational training.

According to Radio Pakistan, this agreement was made during a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko on the sidelines of the Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Bishkek. The leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Belarus, which have seen robust cooperation across multiple fields such as political, trade, economic, defence, and cultural arenas.

The meeting highlighted both countries’ commitment to further elevate their long-standing friendly relations. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended an invitation to President Lukashenko for a visit to Pakistan next year, underscoring the desire to strengthen ties and explore new avenues of cooperation.
