Pakistan and China Commit to Strengthening CPEC Cooperation

Geneva: Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their resolve to deepen cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The understanding to this effect was reached during a meeting between National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Chairman of China’s National People’s Congress Standing Committee Zhao Leji on the sidelines of the Global Speakers’ Summit in Geneva.

According to Radio Pakistan, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq highlighted the time-tested and deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and China, emphasizing the historic tradition of close and friendly exchanges between the parliaments of both countries. He expressed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing CPEC cooperation in key priority sectors such as mining, industry, agriculture, information technology, and green energy.

The two sides also emphasized the importance of coordinated parliamentary diplomacy in promoting peace, development, and multilateral cooperation. This meeting underscores the ongoing commitment of both nations to strengthen their strategic partnership and advance shared economic goals through CPEC.
