Xi An: Dr. Musadik Malik, Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Petroleum, visited YanChang Petroleum in China as part of his participation in the 8th Silk Route Expo. The visit focused on enhancing strategic partnerships between Pakistan and China in the energy sector, particularly in the areas of oil and gas exploration, refinery cooperation, and sustainable energy development.

According to Press Information Department, Dr. Malik was welcomed by the senior leadership team of YanChang Petroleum, led by the company’s Deputy Chief Manager. The meeting involved discussions on technological innovation, integrated coal industrial complexes, and renewable energy integration, with a focus on aligning the energy goals of both nations. The visit included a tour of YanChang’s facilities, where Dr. Malik was briefed on advancements in carbon capture and other energy technologies, setting the stage for potential joint ventures between Pakistani and Chinese companies.
