Pakistan and Colombia Reaffirm Commitment to Dialogue and Multilateral Engagement

New york: Pakistan and Colombia have reaffirmed their support for dialogue, diplomacy, and adherence to the UN Charter and international law. This understanding was reached during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Foreign Minister of Colombia Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio.

According to Radio Pakistan, the two leaders discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in trade, investment, education, defence, culture, and multilateral engagement. As both countries are currently members of the United Nations Security Council, Ishaq Dar appreciated Colombia’s principled positions on regional and international issues and reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire for a stronger partnership with Colombia in multilateral fora, including the United Nations.

The discussions also included regional and international developments, such as the situation in Palestine. Both sides agreed to maintain regular high-level contacts and institutional engagement to further deepen Pakistan-Colombia relations.
